Robert W.'s Story

After college and seminary, I was ordained and served as Rector of an Anglican parish in Savannah, GA for seven years. I attended graduate school earning 2 masters degrees and a doctorate, doing post graduate work at Cambridge University (England)and University of St. Andrew's (Scotland). I have served as a classroom teacher and administrator in both independent preparatory schools and Christian day schools in Georgia, Louisiana, Florida, California, Arkansas and the Washington, DC area. Currently, I am doing private consulting and live in the OC area in Southern CA, and serving as the Rector of an Anglican church in the ACNA. In addition to my work in education, I have been very involved in church planting, and have been t...Expand for more
he church planter for an Anglican parish in Little Rock, Arkansas and another in Fairfax, Virigina. When I think of CHS, I think of the best English teach I ever had in upper school or college, Miss Sylvia Johnson. I think of Mr. Buck and his ability to bring out the best in us. I think of Mr. Ernest Pope, an outstanding French teacher, and Mr. Starkey who had the patience of a Saint with my lack of math ability in both Alg I and Geom. And I think of guys like Mike Kaku and John Yue, always friendly and kind to me. I think of Cathy Wetzel (who moved away), and on whom I had a huge crush. There are too many other names that come to mind, too many to mention. Here I am at 76, looking back, and thinking CHS was good to me.
