Robert W.'s Story
After college and seminary, I was ordained and served as Rector of an Anglican parish in Savannah, GA for seven years. I attended graduate school earning 2 masters degrees and a doctorate, doing post graduate work at Cambridge University (England)and University of St. Andrew's (Scotland). I have served as a classroom teacher and administrator in both independent preparatory schools and Christian day schools in Georgia, Louisiana, Florida, California, Arkansas and the Washington, DC area. Currently, I am doing private consulting and live in the OC area in Southern CA, and serving as the Rector of an Anglican church in the ACNA. When I think of CHS, I think of the best English teach I ever had in upper school or college, Miss Sylvia Johnson. I think of Mr. Buck and his ability to bring out the best in us. I think of Mr. Ernest Pope, an outstanding French teacher, and Mr. Starkey who had the patience of a Saint with my lack of math ability in both Alg I and Geom. And I think of guys like Mike Kaku and John Yue, always friendly and kind to me. I think of Cathy Wetzel (who moved away), and on whom I had a huge crush. There are too many other names that come to mind, too many to mention.
Here I am at 76, looking back, and thinking CHS was good to me.
